BlogLoc, Update Your Location On The Go.

There's a new service for your N95, it's like Twitter, but what you update is your Location. It's called BlogLoc and it allows you to update to the web your global position using the built in GPS of your phone. After copying an HTML code on your website, the information is automatically displayed there. In fact, if you look on the top right section of the blog, you'll see that I have already added my map, and of course, I will be updating my location constatly.

In order to start using the service you have to create an account on their site and that's it! There you will find the option to install the application on the cellphone. It is a fascinating idea, and even though you can add a status update entering the site's page, I can't wait until they allow you to do the same from your mobile, and even better mix it with your Twitter and/or Facebook updates. Enjoy it and send me the link of your site to see your location!

Hi! Thanks for your review :-) Yes, status messages are so new we didn't have the time yet to build this into the mobile client as well. But it will be available soon, of course.

Another thing that's coming: location history! One of the next updates will allow you to track your previous location/status message updates on your map badge or via RSS feed. The RSS feed will make it easy to combine your blogloc updates with twitter or Facebook.
